Casings are often used when there is need to stabilizer the drill hole and protect it from leaking,collapsing or water-bearung stratum. Casing is a tube or pipe made of grade steel and is used to stabilize the upper section of a bore hole to prevent it from caving in and to prevent loss of drilling fluids.
It is used for protecting subsurface formations. It also protects the wellbore from collapsing. Owing to its functions, circulation and extraction of drilling fluid are allowed to take place
Casings are flush joint type and available in W and WT threads.
W casing utilizes the DCDMA W thread form. WT casing is made with DCDMA tubing and tapered thread form.
>> Features of Casing Pipe
1) Use optimized buttress thread so that the connecting strength can reach the strength of the pipe body.
2) High seal reliability: this product has the multi-seal configuration.
3) The joint has high capability to resist compression, bending and over-torque load with the reverse torque internal shoulder.
4) Energy loss reduction: the air and liquid turbulence are reduced by the inner flat design.

W casings are made in DCDMA standards and are available in AW, BW, NW, HW and PW standards.
TUBING
• High quality alloy steel tubing
• Consistent concentricity, straightness and heat treatment
• All tubing available in DCDMA sizes
THREAD
• Tapered, course threads (3 threads per inch) provides easy make and break
• Load efficiency of 30% provides sufficient strength for average applications
THRU-WALL HEAT TREATMENT
• Provides 140% material strength
• Heat treated box threads significantly increases thread wear life
CASE HARDENING
• Significant research, development and field testing has resulted in a hardening process that is unmatched in the marketplace
• Pin thread crest is hardened to nominal 55 HRc to eliminate damaging 'adhesion' wear
• Eliminates the transfer of wear material back and forth which is what happens between threads of equal hardness, leading to large scale galling and joint seizing
